Seattle Colleges
Hired to re-write, edit, and code 800 webpages for a new responsive website and satellite WordPress sites (examples shown below). Also founded the college's successful marketing campaign and hashtag titled My Seattle Central and created videos for the campaign. In addition, volunteered to take over social media and grew Facebook by +115%, Twitter by +114%, and Instagram by +400%. Also, managed two communications specialists.
PROBLEM: The colleges needed to increase student enrollment in the 2014-2015 academic year. Their website was not mobile friendly and no one was posting to their social media pages.
RESEARCH: Focus groups with students to find out their wants and needs. Also worked closely with department heads to rewrite and properly SEO all web content for all programs offered at the college.
SOLUTION: Found out the students wanted community. Developed an integrated marketing communications plan and founded the marketing campaign titled My Seattle Central (still used today as well as the hashtag on social media).
RESULT: The My Seattle Central campaign increased student enrollment by 15%. Integrated advertising highlighted the college's new bachelor's degree program using videos of campus life and photos and stories in the annual report, in college catalogs, on bus boards, on social media, and in digital marketing campaigns.
